when i try to connect to the unreal tournament server i only get about 70 servers tops, and this is taking about 10 minutes, all of my mates are connecting to the same server and are getting 400 odd servers after about 15 seconds?

the only firewall i have is the windows one and ive tried turning it off, ive ran antispyware/virus prog's and they came back with nothing.

ive uninstalled and reinstalled my modem drivers no change, i can download off sites at 60kbps which is normal (512 connection)

after ive connected to the servers and i come out of the game, i have to reboot before i can connect to anything over the net

anyone got any ideas?

you havent got search filters set have you?

Or if its anything like my house the router crashes as soon as you try and play online games such as CSS and it'll just really wind you up until you buy another decent router. :D

forgot to mention my router is the BT Voyager 205 and im not networked to any other pc's. is this a rubbish router?

the version im playing is Unreal Tournament GOTY (Game Of The Year edition) so i dont think that easy server will work.

how would i use port forwarding?

cheers :)

Yes, I have the same. if you are getting no servers in the list or only some servers then Eavy server browser might fix it.

Its a umod so it'll just install into your UT and update the files.

But before messing about with that, try connecting your computer directly to the internet (bypassing the router) to see if it solves your problems. If it doesn't then obviously port forwarding isn't the problem :)

Just a thought....

Have you got a gametype selected that nobody plays anymore like DDOM ?

Sorry also you could try "the all seeing eye" (You might have to google it)
