When I try to start it I get the opening small still graphic,
Then I get a small box with "Critical error" at the top containing;
Stack Dump 7 calls;
each of which takes the form
Unknown(0): <various text>
(There seems no way of doing a copy/paste on this box but I will transcribe it if anybody has reason to believe it will help)
Once I "Ok" this I then get a second box containing;
General protection fault!

I have done a web search and while there are other reports of people suffering this particular problem there, as yet, does not seem to be an explanation or a fix for it!
I have tried deleting and reloading U2 via steam but I also note that some people have developed this issue on standalone versions of the game (IE Not Steam ones)
Oh, And I am running Win8 64bit with a GTX590 graphics set up, again other details can be provided if anybody thinks it might help
And It was working fine last month!
Any suggestions from the highly knowledgeable people here?
