Unrecoverable photo?

Hi There,

I was sent this photo from a football final I was officiating on last night, but it's come out quite rubbish. Is it beyond recoverable or even just possible to make it look a bit better? My photoshop skills are pretty much none existant! If anyone wouldn't mind having a go at making it better, that would be great!

Images have to be made smaller on forum, but heres a quick attempt.

As the image itself is blurred i think its quite hard but heres a quick edit to sort contrast etc:

an attempt to sharpen it, then filter the noise didnt retrn much. I tidied a few bits up, but your asking miracles if you want it to look normal.
