Unresponsive MX Revolution

Hi all,

I've had an MX Revolution for a while now but it seems very unresponsive. It hard to explain to the pointer just isn't moving smoothly over the screen!

I can move the mouse smoothly over the desk but the pointer will freeze then jump to where it should be.

I have tried various settings in the Setpoint software and have also switched the software off but nothing seems to improve it.

I'm running it on Vista64 and have tried it both on and off the mouse mat.

Has anybody suffered from this before or got any tips?

I had problems with the pointer being erratic when I first got mine.
I solved it by putting the USB dongle on a extension lead instead of directly into the PC`s USB port. The dongle now sits at the back of my monitor and have not had a problem since.
It was interference of some sort.

try to get the dongle as near as possible to the mouse.if your keyboard got a usb port then plug it there.

Yeah I've had the same issue and changing USB ports seemed to fix it

Thanks for the replies.

I'll try and dig out a USB extension and give that a go. It's strange though because my machine is on the desk right next to my mouse so it's not far away but the receiver is hidden round the back. Do you think this could still be the problem?

No idea if this would effect things if im totally honest..

mine is plugged into my g15.

no problems for the last 2 years.

my mx wireless receiver is plugged into one of my two usb port's on my g15 keyboard.

do you want pictures to make it easy to understand ?
