Have a HTPC setup using a Zalman CPNS8000...as the system is in a Silverstone LC11 case everything is upside down and was wondering if this would effect the cooling performance of the setup(C2D E6600)...at present it never goes above 55 degrees under load but doesn't idle much lower maybe the between 45-50 degrees. Case is low profile so can't put a big ass cooler in there. Any ideas or views?
Unside down heatpipe performance?

It won't perform as well, but I'd try it and see what happens, and go from there.

Most dont contain a wick so wont work well upside down, it will be a copper heatsink, nothing more.
