Unstable internet only on games

Hey people i have been having this problem for weeks now and its driving me crazy.

I have virgin 120mb connect and i have never had a problem with it until a few week ago when playing games, my connect is solid but as soon as i enter a game it will go very slow and i have really high latency ingame of 1000+ (atleast 6 games tried so far), one thing to note is that the latency wont stay at over 1000 it will go back down for 2-3 seconds and then rise to 1000+ for 5+ seconds and repeat.

Things i have tried:

1. Format Computer and wiped it all clear (figured this would fix it but didnt)

should start working soon, it was showing red before but i think i fixed it, im going to work now so it will most likely be stable until i play a game

i have just made a thread on VM forums, i just cant understand how its fine when i reset router until i start gaming and then its messed up until i reset the router again
