Unstable Overclock??

i see, hmm well its the qx6850 im useing stocked at 3ghz (as im sure you know) iv clocked it to 3.5ghz, did do more and i was gettin the error message about it failing and now found this one and its booting normaly as i said but am still abit unsure...

Run a program called prime95, use the small fft option, and make sure you're running 4 threads (to stress all 4 cores)

Also download a program called caoretemp, this will allow you to minitor the temperature of your cpu.

If Prime95 runs for 8 hours without any errors, then it is stable.

thanks V|per il give that prime95 ago, but that caoretemp program you mentioned when i try to run it i get a error message about the drivers failing to load. any idears on that part?? oh btw its vista 64 could that be the problem maybe?

yeah vista 64 bit prevents unknown drivers being installed or something like that.

Its pretty annoying, the easiest way to run Vista 64 without the driver certificate signing check is press F8 during boot up and select the option to disable driver signature enforcement. It only works for that single boot though so if you want to use Prime95 again for example, you would have to reboot and do the same thing over again.

Hi nability coretemp Vista 64 download from here

CoreTemp 0.96 (New Release) + Atsiv loader.
CoreTemp-0.96-Vista64.rar
run the included coretemp-startup.bat

http://venares.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/CoreTemp-0.96-Vista64.rar

yo i just tryed to get it and its giving the same problem about cant load drivers and some info not being showen :S you got anything else??

ohh and another thing, since iv clocked this thing when i turn it on it turns off again bout 2secs later then about another 2secs later it boots back up again....is it just me or dose that sound quite worring?? (first time overclocker if you havnt noticed lol eek!)
