It seems that some component in my rig is causing windows explorer to pop up a little error message telling me that it needs to be closed, this is then usually followed by an error message about Dr Watson debugger encountering an error and needing to close too, I originally thought it was a stick of RAM, but after running Orthos stress tests on them individually as well as running orthos on the CPU as well, I'm not so sure. Could it just be the Northbridge not getting enough voltage through it? If so how much extra voltage should I try putting through it?
Specs:
Abit IP35-E
GeIL PC6400 800MHz 4 x 1Gb (using spd settings)
E2200 at stock
8800GT 512mb.
Thanks for any advice, Joe.

THB i think it could be due to the windows install thats fubar
i had the same type of problem i just re-installed XP agian and its never came back
never botherd to find out why tho

Does seem perhaps more software than hardware. Does the Event Log show anything that may help? Perhaps try updating all your drivers see if that helps. :)

Forgot to mention....tried Orthos with all 4 sticks in and it failed after 8 seconds. I'll stick them all back in and give it another go.
Where's the Event log?
