Not sure if this is the correct section to post this, if not could a mod move it please, thanks.
Have a Gigabyte GA-F2A88xm-HD3 revision 3, AMD A10 6800K cpu, Noctua LH12 cooler, 8gb Corsair 2133 Vengeance ram. Thermal paste used for heatsink was Noctua's which came with cooler.

I put the above mobo cpu & ram together but have not overclocked anything so it is running at its default 4.10ghz.

I'm a little concerned about the cpu temps in HW Monitor when under load. Probably the most stressful thing my setup would do is converting a movie using Divx converter. CPU temps seemed to stay around 80c maxing at 91c while converting a movie from mp4 to Divx HD. Is this normal for this setup?

Would it be possible for someone to look over my bios settings below and the screengrab from HWMon which was taken while a movie was being converted using Divx convertor. I'm not 100% confident that all is well when computer is under a bit stress which you will see from the screengrab below.

Now as I type this post cpu temps in Hmon is showing steady 40/42c (movie conversion is finished)

In the bios my settings are as follows

Bios v F4,

Easytune is on the disk that came with the board, does this report the same high temps?

How much/little paste did you use? a rice grain-pea sized blob in the middle of the cpu is all you need then let the cooler spread it out as you clamp it down.

Is the CPU fitted correctly and clamped down tight enough?

Is the fan spinning on the cooler and fitted so its blowing the right way (i.e down)

More I think about it it maybe the blob was bigger than a grain of rice, about 3 or 4 mm in diameter, certainly higher than a rice grain. Fan could only go on the one way So I have to assume that is ok, cpu drops into socket then clamped down with the lever, and heatsink is screwed onto two bolts so that must be ok. Easytune, I'd read that quite a few folk didn't like it so I left that out. I'll give it a go, if no difference I'll re-apply thermal paste. Thanks

You just want to use Easytune for its temp reading, the rest of it is awful. Wish they had included the Z87 Easytune software as its so much more functional.
