Thought I'd ask you guys as i'm still unsure as the steps to get a bike licence (yes i've read the sticky)

I'm 26 years old and I've had a car licence for 8 years. I confirmed with DVLA that I have the endorsement I need for a bike licence. I want to get an ~800cc bike so will need a full licence.

So is it correct that now I need to get:
Theory test, then
CBT then
DAS Part 1 then
DAS part 2

or is DAS part one the same as the CBT? Do I need to send anything off between steps or can I just smash it all in one week?

cheers

2 years?! was hoping to sort it in 2 weeks! spoke to a guy from a training centre and he reckons that once I've done the theory I can do the CBT on a sunday, then 2/3 days doing the other parts...

I did my DAS over a 2 week period which was 2 days training then MOD1 then a days training then MOD2.
I already had my CBT from 13 months before but you can book & do it in a day as it's not a test it's Training.
As for the Hazard & perception bit I booked & done that before I booked my DAS.
Where are you based as my instructor was good & relatively cheap.

So...
Book & do your Theory & Hazard test - Practise online first.
Book & do your CBT - Should get in fairly quicky at a local CBT centre.
Book & do your DAS - MOD 1 & 2.

Then come join the cool kids. :D

Ah I see, perfect. Was looking to do my licence in York, found this place which looks quite decent: http://www.ride-4-life.co.uk/
Sounds like it can take a while to get a theory test so I'll book that first, then do CBT and a few days intensive training.
Then I'll join the cool kids
