hi

i have asked this before , but im really debating weather i should get a bigger hardrive for my 40gig ps3?

i have hardly used any of the 40gig but im unsure weather i will use it in the future , and that it might be better to upgrade now while ive only got a couple of saves on it that will fit on my usb stick?

what do you think

cheers

I would personally wait until you need it. Then if you could buy a 2.5" SATA Caddie, put the new drive in the caddie and format to FAT32, backup everything from PS3 to it, then copy it over to your PC, put new drive in PS3 and reformat etc. put 40GB drive in caddie and format to FAT32 then copy backup from PC back onto 40GB extenral drive and then back onto PC.

Long winded way of doing it but you should be able to get everything backed up that way.

ok ive decided im going to upgrade now ,while i have'nt got to much on my hardrive.

some things i need to know:

-are all updates, friends lists.... stored on the ps3's flash drive ,so that i dont need to backup?

-do i only need to back up save games onto my usb stick before upgrading?

-also can someone recomend me a hardrive on ocuk that would be good , ive got a budget of about £60-£75 .

thanks

thanks i have read that , but just to be sure do my friends list , internet setting , updates have to be backed up?

im going to use a memory stick for my saved games

Ah wasn't sure if you'd read it or not, seems to cover everything but I've never done it myself so can't really add anything else.

all your account settings, friends lists etc are stored on the PS3's flash memory so no worries there.
