not sure if this is the correct place but im guessing it could be a hardware problem.

anyways here goes, basically got a new laptop ( compay cq58302sa ) for the children to use but sometimes it can take 2 or 3 mins to load a page and in the case of youtube wont play videos and tells you to restart the device.

every other device in the house runs and connects perfectly fine. i know that the laptop doesnt have the greatest cpu in the world but surely that shouldnt slow down opening webpages to this extent.

does anyone have any ideas as to fix this annoying problem.

im running a fresh install ( today ) of windows 10

Does this happen with different browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Opera? Do you have any filtering software installed that meant ti prevent children from accessing adult content?

If your using a wirless connection try conecting the laptop to the internet with a cable and see if it has the same problem.

Try a diffrent web browser like firefox or chrome as mentioned above.

It could be a DNS issue. Try connect to OCUK website directly with their ip address: 91.151.218.10 use command prompt to get the IP's of the websites your having trouble with. i.e type ping www.overclockers.co.uk in command prompt and press enter.

Compared to SSD's they are slow as you know. Changing over to ssd can only help with the browsing speed. Stopped using hdd's myself and I wouldn't go back to them.

Not a noticable different to browsing speed, speed loading the browser, yes.
