They want your credit card details before you can play, even with the trial key

I'm trying to sign up for the beta by registering an account on the UO billing website, but once I enter my personal and credit card details and click OK all it does is refresh the page with no confirmation that my details have been accepted.

Has anyone else had this problem and know whether or not my details will have been accepted?

Played UO for 9 years but i doubt i will get this.. There other 3d stuff sucked bad and this wont be any different .

Might do my Mule account just for bank sitting

But no serious UO player would ever run 3d .

Might help bring new people i suppose (more for me to pk ) but i have my doubts

You need to run the new 3D client otherwise you cannot play the expansion, and play as a gargoyle

Thats the attitude that has held UO back for years now, the refusal to play on another client. However its different now, if KR fails to win over users EA will drop the game like a wet fish. They've invested more money into this expansion then any other expansion in the past, with a single objective - to create a new single unified client.

The client is just beta right now, and no where near unfinished. I've tried it and really like what I see so I'll be returning in future to check it out. The macro system blows away what UOA can do, its far smoother and detailed then 2D and runs at a higher res. Quite a lot of places look poor atm because the artwork hasn't been worked on yet.

Trouble is the only people playing now are pvpers and ebayers . Unless the new client is really slick then the pvpers wont touch it .
And with (imho) most people running Easyuo for 1 thing and another if the team cant or wont support the new client then people will stick to the 2d client .

I have no problem using it for pvm but unless its really nice i would never pvp in a 3d client and even high end pvm is dodgy with the 3d client we have atm

yeah its very buggy and very jumpy which are not good in UO pvp. Pretty much in a laggy jump your opponent could've got off a good amount of spells. I usually RP in 3D and flip back to 2D for pvp. Though i did not continue my subcription. MMO's pretty much bore me now, though i'd still like to try LOTOR as a free trial or something and Warhammer Online.
