Hi its been about 3 years sinec I've got my Alienware PC. If I knew the things now about pc's I wouldnt of spent £2000 on it lol Oh well we learn from our mistakes. Anyway, I want to up-grade the mobo, memory and processor. I want to get a Intel E8500 but am stuck on what mobo and memory to get, could you guys give me any ideas on what would be a good package. Forgot to mention I will be overclocking it. Thanks.

Peter.

My budget will be about £500

Since you've got SLi'd graphics cards that rather limits your choice of motherboard, something like this might do. I'd also suggest you have a read of the FAQ, particularly in regard to your signature (4 lines max) and mentioning competitors. :)

Sounds good to me, will look into the above. Its well under my budget too. :)
Thanks.

to be honest with SPW's spec price you could sell you're 7800GT's, change the mobo to one that doesnt need to have sli and get an 8800GT/GTS or one of the similar spec new cards when they come out.

for the price of the sli one spw spec'd you could go for a p35 board like the abit ip35 pro or a more up to date x38 one like the DFI Lan Party DK X38-T2R.
