Cash back isn't a deal - price could be £100 less. Sneaky marketing, we weren't born yesterday.
Of course it's a deal, you get the money back in your account. All you have to do is fill in a short form and send a copy of your invoice. In the modern age this is a two minute job. 
The reason for "cashback" deals is that they are easier to arrange and it allows the funding party to have better control over which partners they work with. it minimises the risk of less trustworthy resellers splitting the bundle and trashing the price of both products.
