Upcoming Concerts

Anyone seen Coldplay yet on the Viva la Vida tour ? Wonder who the support act(s) are...

Going to watch them on Friday at MEN (Manchester)

Just saw the Wildhearts and A last week at the barras- superb gig, though I was left a bit confused as to what year it was. So I'm going to correct that by seeing Pendulum tomorrow, woot! And then Hell is for Heroes and Biffy later this week, none for ages then 4 come along at once.

Going to see the London Nightwish show in march, waiting for some close Airbourne, Stone Gods and Sonata Arctica to come round if possible. Hate having to travel all over the place cause no where near is good for shows lol
Waiting to hear whether Download is worth bothering with this (2009) year, as last year had issues with the new layout, felt smaller and the bands were not amazing with a few exceptions (and they seriously messed the sound up for Inflames and Within Temptation (vocal mics kept dying!...when we've paid £150+ for the weekend thats insulting).

Missed the 1st act at the Echo Arena (Liverpool) on Sunday night but heard of all Jon Hopkins' set. Not entirely my taste but he seemed to be very much in the zone doing his thing.

Coldplay were superb though. Our seats turned out to be 10 rows from the front and were ace. Fantastic crowd, awesome night :D

Got Blur on Friday which will be good! Enjoyed their set at Glasto although they didn't show all of it to save some for Friday. I'm looking forward to seeing Florence and the Machine although being a (perhaps envious) female musician I didn't want to like her at first but after seeing her set at the weekend she's a really good singer! Vampire Weekend are also supporting, that will be good too.

T in the Park just coming up, but then FAITH NO MORE at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh, only holds a couple of thousand people :D Then i get to see them again at Reading :D:D:D PLus by a weird twist of existing travel plans I get to see Muse both in Glasgow and London (and Carter USM twice in the same week). Plus 2 sets of Biffy Clyro gigs and Skunk Anansie. Excited!

Another thread revival :p

Booked tickets today to go and see Marilyn Manson on Dec 15 at the O2 Academy in Glasgow :D

He's supported by Esoterica (never heard of them) though last time I saw Mr Manson at the SECC two years ago it was a really good concert :)

I'm also trying to book tickets for Mark Knopfler next May at the SECC - should be another good night :D
