Wow, Hot Hot Heat at the London Scala on Saturday was really good. Nice venue, sound was a bit unbalanced though, so was left slightly more deaf in my left ear lol.
They're good on stage, Steve Bays is a charismatic front man and they gave a really solid, performance, I think everyone enjoyed it. Bit of a shame that it took till they played Bandages for the crowd to explode, which was about the 4th or 5th song, and then after that they were really responsive. Unlikely, but anyone else here go?
The Black Crusade featuring arch enemy, trivium, machine head, shadows fall and the mighty dragonforce! but thats tonight though, possibly like right now
Just back from Klaxons. It was a decent set from them, even though it seemed that it did'nt last too long.
The support band, Simian Mobile Disco were superb. Will be definatly watching them when they are Manchester University in Feb. They pretty much a dance / trance / electro pop outfit or something along those lines. I enjoyed it loads.
Who ever is into trance / dance, should check them out...
Wanted to go see Black Crusade, but couldnt get the cash/time off work/motivation to get past the hassle of family and transport/people to go with, similar situation with Sonata Arctica recently.
Will deffo be going to Download next year if the lineup is any good, as bar a few things (dust for example), this year was awesome.
Toying with going to see Nightwish next year too, after seeing Metallica at Wembley earlier this year, would love to go see some other bigger acts too.
Wasn't really expecting much on the grounds the last two albums are dire, and alas, apart from the occasional song from Rated R the set felt lacking to me.
Nothing was played off the eponymous album which I for one was gutted about ("If Only" being my favourite QOTSA song).
Kudos to them though for the encore, Feel Good Hit Of The Summer was so nice live.
