A thread for upcoming films in 2023 you think we should know about.

Thread inspired by this trailer, which looks hideously awful:

D&D.

I hope its good.

Have 6 free cinema tickets this year from Lloyd's that expire in April.

Northnan,

D&d

Are what they've been used/will be used on.
Can't really see anything in 2023 apart from D&D I want to see.
6 tickets a year with the quality of stuff coming out is plenty enough unfortunately

Think the new mission impossible is coming out this year, looking forward to that !!
Was watching avatar and saw the stunt for part of the film. I do like Tom cruise. Always comes across as a decent guy in f1 pre shows. And it's awesome he does his own stunts.

Its not something I watch but it got me interested.

Only film I'm hoping is good and looking forward to seeing is D&d.
But I bet it will be annoying. Playing D&d I already seen in the trailer a few things that are not D&d valid!
But I don't mind as long as it isn't like the other D&d film!

Was just looking at the release schedules again (hence bumping the Expendables 4 thread) and I think it’s fair to say my cinema expenses this year will be minimal.

Will probably see Creed III and John Wick 4. Maybe Mario. On the fence about GOTG.

There is a new Mario Bros film that was meant for late last year but is now due this April. The original was pretty bad and this remake might not be any better but I'm still going to watch it as a Mario fan. Anya Taylor-Joy plays as Princess Peach.

Disney are still going through the live-action remakes. I enjoyed Cinderella (2015), Beauty and the Beast (2017) and Aladdin (2019), and due this year are the Little Mermaid and Peter Pan / Wendy.

Looking forward to see what "The Challenge" is like when it comes out next month.

First film to be shot in space on the ISS. Yes its a Russian film, but that won't stop me from watching it with subtitles at least. No doubt Tom Cruise is a bit annoyed as he wanted to be the first.

You should watch the 9 min video on youtube as to how that stunt was created. TC did 1000s of base jumps in prep for it, set up an exact replica of the bike ski-jump somewhere in wales (I think) and did it time after time after time, literally 100s of times, to get the extra trajectory, get the exact camera angles etc. On the day of doing the actual stunt, he did the entire thing several times.

The amount of effor and details that went into it is just mind-boggling.
