Upcoming Netbooks?

Looking into buying a netbook and been very interested in the Samsung NC10 or Possibly NC20.
However just wondering what's upcoming over the next few months for netbooks, don't want to buy say an NC10 to find Ive not seen somethng mch better thats due out soon.

Asus have released a few new nice ones, the 1008HA and the 1005HA. Very impressive battery life and they look very good too.

Kinda wondering if I might be better with a 15" laptop, far better power and usability but I'm guessing a battery life is likely to be shocking.

The new range of ION based netbooks is around the corner. These will be better than any of the current versions - especially for HD media playback and even gaming.

If you don't need HD media playback or gaming then I'd wait anyway as the non-ION netbooks are likely to become cheaper.

w.r.t. choosing a 15" laptop vs. Netbook

For every task the 15" laptop will be better. However, the netbook is a whole lot smaller and lighter; and most have battery lives that are in excess of 5 hours.

So - if you need something that is truely portable then the netbook is the best choice. If you just need something for use in your house or garden only then a 15" laptop would be a better buy (in my view)
