update bios, now BSOD

hi all,

so I was fiddling around with my settings and noticed that my motherboard (asrock z77 extreme 4) bios was was out of date so updated to the newest version, as soon as I restarted the windows screen appeared for a second and then crashed to BSOD, I have tried different bios versions as well as returning to the original version but with no luck. can anyone offer any suggestions?

SATA configuration.

Try IDE or AHCI mode.

As soon as I posted this I noticed that I had the wrong mode. Switched back to IDE and is all sorted.
