update bios?

As stevebiggins has already said, if it ain't broke don't fix it. BIOS updates are not like driver updates, you have a risk of borking the board and for the average user (who is not having BIOS related issues) gain nothing. If you want to squeeze the absolute max out of the board (like for overclocking), then it has some merit (but even then don't do it unless you know it is worth it).
 
I would check the notes on Gigabytes BIOS page for your board to see if there any BIOS updates that claim to resolve it. If there are not, then I'd look elsewhere for the problem.
