Update BIOS ? ?

Just a quick question guys, i have
a MSI P67A GD65 Motherboard and should i update my BIOS ?

When i finish my build i was just going to use the version that came on the disk
I did read some where that with BIOS if it's not broke don't fix it.
Is that true ?

I know it resonably safe with Gigabyte boards (Dual Bios), not too sure with the MSI. It's been said before, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

Given that this is new product there will be bios releases to improve performance and to fix bugs so it would not do you any harm to update your bios:

I would, especially if you are going to oc as that latest bios indicates improved cpu oc.

Very simple process. Usually you just chuck the rom on an empty usb stick and flash from inside the bios.

Allways had great success with MSI bios, head over to the official forum and grab the usb bios flasher, it works very good

as before if your gunna overclock - new bios. If not then I would stick with it as it shouldn't be a problem at stock...

Thanks for the replys guys, this is my first build and i'm going to put it together tomorrow.

I'm going to leave the system for a couple of weeks then i will try and overclock.

Still learning : )
