Hi, I have a 13 year old system that still works but struggles. Currently I have:

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

1 x Samsung 2TB SSD
1 x DVD
4 x SATA full size drives, can get rid of one in need
650 W Power Supply
Full size ATX Case
Viseo 230Ws (1920x1080@60Hz) 1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 5700 Series
Wireless Keyboard and mouse working well
Monitor Packhard Bell 1920 x 1080

I do not mine Bitcoins or do any Gaming but do have a lot of graphics, pictures and movies.

Would be grateful for suggestions on upgrading:
Full size ATX MB
CPU (With cooling if not integral)
Graphic card if not built into MB
RAM
Monitor in need, although currently working fine
Anything else you can think of

PC is sited nest to router so WiFi not required

Budget is always a consideration but would like something decent.

All contributions gratefully received

Can you elaborate? What exactly do you do with these things? For example: do you do image and photo editing? Alternatively, do you just mean that you look at / watch them?

Can you give us a ballpark? A £500 system is very different to a £1000 system.

By "decent", what do you mean? What does a decent PC look/act like?

I assume the current case and motherboard are not proprietary? The reason I mention that, is because your monitor is Packard Bell and if your case is too, it might not work with the new parts.
Thanks for response Tetras, much appreciated.

Yes Photo and video editing, multi tasking on both At moment I start compiling a video and everything else stops.
Budget under £ 750 preferable, nearer £500 or less if possible, excluding monitor
Decent to me is a system that can be updated a bit in the future, such as more RAM if needed, will run Win 11 and future releases, and is not totally proprietary, such as Packard Bell.
The monitor I was given by a friend who destroyed his Packard Bell PC
My ATX case was bought separately when I bought the other individual components
My current MB is an ABIT, worked well at the time but with new software and OS it is showing its age

Thanks again

If the psu is 13 years old as well I would be replacing that. If it is'nt the same age as the rest of the system how old is it and what make and model is it?

That is fantastically quick response and so detailed. Thank you both very much

The PSU is 13 years old and I think your suggestion to upgrade that is good advice, any suggestions on that please

Would you please expand on ~"Use of stock cooler assumed."

I really am blown away, thanks again
