Update GPU Drivers?

Just wondering, I'm about to receive a 6870 to replace my 4870.

I'm currently using catalyst 11.11 with the 4870, do I need to install catalyst again to use the 6870 or will it "just work" when I plug it in.

I'd probably do a reinstall of drivers just in case. Doubt it'll be a major issue, but no harm in being safe.

I had to reinstall the drivers.

Another question, in CCC overdrive seems to be reporting my clocks wrongly - 500mhz for core 900mhz for mem. Should be 900/1050.

Is this some kind of "speedstep" thing and the clocks go back up when I load a game? Afterburner gives the correct figures so I suspect thats what it is.
