A quick update on my new rig.
Please remember I have never overclocked, customised, water cooled or spray painted before in my life.
Its not quite finished yet but not far off.Hope you like it,the marks on the paint are dust from the spraying btw.

As you can see Iv got from 1.8ghz to 3ghz without any trouble, the cpu idles at just over 30c and after an hour of prim95 the temps were as you see in the picture.
Not bad when you consider its realy hot at the moment.
My question is....how far can a E6320 1.8ghz cpu go

Cheers

Thats some hike from Stock to OC certianly made me :O after seeing some of those gastly tribals.

Would have looked slightly better without them and maby some more views into the case, over all tho looks ok

The question is how much more do you want it to go. Does it strugle at the moment.

Personaly i would stress test for a lot longer than 1 hour temps may vary

Not keen on the decals at all, I would remove them & cut a window in the side to allow you to see the case.

I would have gone black on the outside, purple on the inside with UV light & fezzer purple liquid / black.

If your happy with it though thats the main thing :)

Iv been out in the garden for the last half hour and put a window in (pics below) Its not perfect but good enough for a first attempt.

I thought the stencils looked cool but then I am in my 40's so what do I know about fashion :D
As for the colour, well it what I found at a car boot on sunday for 50p a can so its what I used.
The overclock was easy and all I needed to do to get it stable was up the nb voltage by one notch.
The pc has been on all day running prime95 with a few breaks for cod4,grid and prototype and so far its 100% stable with max temps below 50c and idles below 40c.
Next job is led fans top and side plus a grill for the top.Oh and a full cover block for the 4870.
After Iv saved a few pennies a new mobo, cpu and another 4870 for crossfire.
By then it will all be obsolete and I can start agian :)

Much better, A bit paint would go a long way, i would take a bit of Ging idea with an Ainsley Harriot dashing of your own flair.

What did you use to cover the ragged edges of the case?

I have always fancied doing this but im not going near My Antec Titan case with a saw just yet.

What kind of gun is that lol

Hi DavieCramb01
Its all change again as i have just ordered a gpu block and sinks for the 4870.
When they arrive I will strip it all down and paint it while im fitting the block.
i dont know what colour but something dark should look cool.
I didnt use anything to cover the edges of the case although I did have to paint the edges as the heat from the angle grinder damaged the paint.
I just marked out the window, hacked it with the angle grinder useing a cutting disk I use for stainless steel and then smoothed it with a palm sander.
Total time taken including painting and glueing the window in was about 30 mins.
I will update the thread some time next week once its all done.
Cheers

A quick screen shot from coretemp now Iv got it to show the cpu clock properly.
