Hey all,

First of all....

MERRY CHRISTMAS^^

...Now onto more important things :p

I currently have a creative SB Live 5.1, have 5.1 surround headphones and my pc spec:

3500+ @ 2.4
1gig BH5 OCZ memory
120 gig maxtor hd 8mb cache
7600GT PCI-E

My question:

I have been looking at getting one of the newer xfi creative sound cards, I only really play
Counterstrike source and listen to a bit of music, would it be worth upgrading the sound card?

I would not bother, the x-fi are at least 60 nicker, so depends if you feel it is worth it

The £52 quid it costs is only worth it if the sound card would perform (sound wise) better than my existing 5.1 SB live. So the question is is it worth upgrading from a product point of view not money^^

So back to my original question - is it worth the upgrade quality / performance / sound wise from a SB live 5.1 to a Xfi music from ocuk £52.

CSS has sounded the same on every soundcard I've tried, so unless you're unhappy with your Live! I'd just keep using that really.

OK i replaced my Creative Live 24 soundcard with the X-Fi Ex Music and it rocks, so much so that ive now bought new speakers n headphones. You can pick them up from £45 and allthough im hardly an audiophille i would deffo recomend it.
BF2 sounds immense and even CSS sounds a lot better.
