Hi there All , is there any where else that you can download the updates to windows xp ? or is it just the update site on Microsoft ? Nj..
 
there are various packs floating round the net which includes all the updates up to a certain date but the easiest way is the microsoft site
 
The updates can all be found individually if you're very dedicated by looking in the support sections of Microsoft's website - the only reliable way to be sure you're up to date is to use Windows Update.

The only reason I can think why you might not want to use it is if you're using Windows illegally, in which case buy a proper copy and get it sorted out. If you're having a problem (e.g. with ActiveX) in getting Windows Update to work, then you're better off trying to sort it out than continually trying to get updates regularly from other sources.

Hi there thanks for that,i am using a proper version of windows ,its just when i go onto the update website it just hangs ,and doesn,t show any updates to download,which is strange as i have used it mny times in the past ,just wondered if it was Microsoft or my p.c ? :confused:
