Hi, i have a Asus P8P67 Pro motherboard which had been running fine.
i updated the bios from 1204 to 1502.
i have a i7 2600K and temps were idling at 33/34c on all 4 cores. but now i have updated the bios core 1+2 are idling at 32/33c but core 3+4 are idling 37/38c

How has a bios update caused this?

i have checked these temps running real temp and core temp and both are the same.

i also run a quick prime test and temps on core 3+4 are a few degrees higher under 100% load compared to when i was running on 1204 Bios.

It's the load Temps that matter and yours are fine so don't worry about it. The BIOS queries the DTS or Digital Thermal Sensor on your CPU so it may be the case that it wasn't reporting this accurately in the past with the older BIOS.

Have you tried reseating your cpu cooler? Some fresh thermal paste might make all the difference. Also, fully reset your bios and apply the neccessary settings in stages.
