Hi expert clockers:)

I updated my bios of my UD7 to F11w because I was having cold voot issues. I took screenies of the bios screens beforehand but the moron I am, I missed a few. I put the settings as they were but in Prime the cores reach 90C in 10mins or so. Below is some shots of my bios. I left advanced CPU features on defaults as I forgot that screen.

Oh, idle temps are lower than before and gaming seems about the same.

I'm Metalmackeys brother. The advanced cpu core features are on auto apart from OS cobtrolss speed which is disabled. Coretemp says its uses about 13 watts idle and 185 watts running Prime.

I would:

  • Put it back to stock and test again, see if the same happens
  • Reset CMOS and see if fault is still there, either at stock or overclocked
  • Reflash the BIOS in case it is a bug with that version
  • Feel the heaksink to check its actually getting hot

Cheers.

I think it might be my H80 cooler. Is there a way of knowing if the pump is working properly?

I've never used a closed watercooling loop before, only custom. It might be possible to use something to monitor fan speeds to see if it shows the pump? I'm not totally sure how they work tho.

Do you happen to have any kind of air cooler available to test with?

The H80 fans are working as they speed up under load. I'm not sure about the pump. The cpu idles at 30C but I'm not sure if a knackered pump would affect idle temps? The cpu is at 1200mhz at idle.

My bro tried playing sf4 and with both fans of the H80 blowing in the case it got to 64Cish, turning the inside fan round so push/push on rad made cpu shoot to 77C as it was blowing gpu hot air onto rad. Would both blowing out be better than both blowing into the case?
