I've updated my Photomatix tutorial to include more stuff. Photoshop vs Photomatix. Why use 3 RAW's, why use 1 RAW. There's info on Photomatix's new feature where you can load a RAW file directly into the program and generate a HDR from that. Why are TIFF's better than JPG's. A comparison between making a HDR using 1 RAW file and producing 3 TIFFs from that and shooting 3 RAW files on site. Information on Photomatix's latest features showing how you can produce arty shots or how you can produce nice natural looking shots, your choice.

I take it a certain mag lit a fire under you to get more done lately? :p

Haha no :p Its just that the article came out at the same time that a new version of Photomatix did which basically meant the magazine was out of date so I decided to update my site so if anyone googled for HDR + tutorial/guide they'd find my updated version. I also chose to add some extra commentary on a few things.

It's quite good. Also good is the fact you're allowing people to post feedback. I always find that a better way than a basic "do it like this" tutorial, as it gives you more thought towards something.

No stopping you is there? :D

P.S. Make it stop raining in Wrexham so I can go out with my camera :(

Queen - Don't stop me now :D While I was born in Wrexham I'm afraid I have no control over the weather there. How I wish I did over Liverpool right now though :)

OO where abouts? I'm in Rhosddu (the one remaining nice bit. Well, to live, not for photography if you've got no transport :( ) :p

Which version of Photomatix should i get? Photomatix Pro, Tone Mapping Plug-In or the Photomatix Bundle?

Also if I buy it can I download both the Mac and PC version or do I need 2 licenses? its the same computer, just I would like access no matter which OS im booted into.

Get Photomatix Pro. The Tone Mapping Plugin is for PS and I guess the bundle is both. As for the license, I dunno :)

If you download the plugin, then don't whatever you do install the video thing in the root. I think it put some really anoying spyware on my system, and I spent the whole afternoon getting it off.
