This is just weird, updated the firmware and everything appeared to be fine, however Google services like Play Store, Music and youtube no longer work on my Android devices, youtube videos constantly buffering, apps failing to download.

Yet I can browse the web and download files just fine which seems odd.

I've tried downgrading the firmware but getting the same problem, if I use my data connection Google services run fine over 3G so it's definitely my router causing the problem.

I'm confused.

Which firmware version are you running? I got the same router running 3.0.0.4.374.4561 and it works fine for me. Did you try doing a factory reset on the router?

Are you on Virgin? The same thing has happened to a lot of people weirdly.

Yes, I'm with VM. So is there a fix or just a know VM issue? Oh well, kind of glad its not the router.

Confirmed, it's VM. Put the superhub back into router mode and tried that. Exact same issue... damn Virgin Media ! :(

I can fix the youtube buffering issue, but the play store I have to use mobile data for.

The problem is VM and caching again.

This might be why Im thinking of switching to plusnet

Play store is working today, VM haven't even acknowledged there was an issue with the network.

Maybe it's time to give BT a chance, VM's service is a bit too random.
