I've got BT Yahoo which seems to have updated recently to a rather unstable, but tabbed IE6. Now updates wants to know if I want to stick IE7 on. Is it stable? Should I tell it not to install as when I put ask me later it comes back up again after about 2 minutes.

Yeah I use FF, but I just wanted to know if anyone had experiences with Yahoo and IE7, cos I use it for testing and since the update Yahoo did IE6 crashes on Javascript menus...

If I were you I'd get rid of all the ridiculous Yahoo branding and install the proper IE7 - it's generally a good browser, and I now use it instead of Firefox. I would say that the Yahoo version will probably work fine too, but I don't see why you'd want all that advertising!

If you do a internet search you'll find lots of people are having problems with IE7 .I still think it's a bit sneaky of MS to think of it as a security update ,thus forceing it onto our PC's .It is a programm ,I think people should have a choice in whether to install this or not and fully understand what it is .I got a call from a friend the other day saying he'd installed an update and now got no internet access I asked what the update was , he said IE7 .He's with tiscalli and has a connection but IE7 wont allow him to view any pages. There is a little proggy available from MS which alters a reg entry to not allow IE7 to install , might be worth having .I'm still using IE6 together with Firefox 2.0 [firefox just gets better]. If you have IE7 on your PC ,you can uninstall it and go back to IE6 , but give Firefox a try .
