Hi I built my Current Computer Setup 3 Years ago and I'm feeling its time to get some change in here, so if you look at my current build in my Sig I want to upgrade the following

Hard Drive SSD Dependent on Extra cost for a decent one
Internal HDD 2TB + for storing all my Games and Downloads on
Heatsink for my I7 920 so I can get a little over-clock in there, Will 1333mhz Ram DDR3 hinder my OC on the I7?

This Graphics card has already been recommended for my change to a triple screen setup.

I'm Also looking for some 23 inch screens Similar to a Samsung Syncmaster P2370HD if anyone knows of any? as I want that as my TV / Primary Monitor and then two either side of a similar monitor.

Last but not least something I might consider is a Blu-Ray player if they are reasonable in price.

Thanks
Rob

Hi,theres plenty of info on the net about overclocking the i7 920 and last but not least here. You should get a descent CPU Cooler and aim for at least 3.8GHz, which will give you agood performance boost all round + it will be good for another 2>3 years[Corsair A50 CPU Cooler-£29 + MX-4 tim, as OCUK use them with thier OC Bundles].

Try OC your CPU with the memory you have got but to get agood OC you will need a good set of DDR3 3X2gb or. 3X4GB 1600hZ, again what is your buget?

Thanks for the help :D
I was also wondering the SSD has only 320MB/s WriteSpeed I assume that's still much quicker than a HDD also It can run SATA II right? as my Mobo only has Sata II not three :(

Also, getting PCI-E for USB 3.0 is it worth the extra speed? when I finally get some 3.0 Devices?

Thanks again
Rob

it does but 16gb might limit your oc or be hard to get stable on x58,8gb would be more than enough imo

its easier to run high ram and bigger amounts on sandy/ivy bridge due to not overclocking with the bclk

id just keep what you have for now and update the other bits that you planned on and see how it performs, then update ram if needed
