Updating amd drivers

Sorry if this is the wrong thread, but I've updated my amd drivers (radeon) a couple of times and it's damaged the registry. I've not amd before, and this was never an issue with nvidia. The only thing I can link it to is clicking the factory reset when installing the drivers, which seems daft to me
Anyone else had this?

How do you mean damaged the registry ?

Maybe download the latest, fully uninstall the old drivers, reboot, install new drivers

Damaging it in the sense that windows wouldn't boot and I had to reinstall it last night. Very odd.

Is this the latest AMD drivers? Which GPU are you using? I would avoid the latest ones if you're having issues, if you check the last couple of pages you're not the only one: https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/the-amd-driver-thread.18643923/page-1060

It was the latest, but it did it when I updated s month or so ago. I've taken some precautions as I now just keep my main drive for windows so it's less annoying.
