Updating BIOS - RAID question

I need to update my BIOS so it includes support for the Q9550. I currently have a RAID 0 array set up on two 250GB hard drives.

Is there anything I need to watch out for/do before I do the upgrade? I don't want to go and corrupt my RAID array.

Thanks,
Craig.

All done :)

Everything went smoothly. However, I had to get a floppy disk out as Q-flash wouldn't pick up the .Fxx (F14 in my case) file on my pen drive for some reason. It was formatted at FAT32 etc.

Even when seen by Q-Flash I have found on the odd occassion you need to play around a bit before it actually selects the flash drive and hence the file becomes visible on the right hand part of the window...

It was a bit strange really. It detected the pen drive as the "Floppy B Drive", the only way I know it was the pen drive is because of the size (3.73GB). However, for some reason the .F14 wouldn't show up.

I'll try again with a pen drive next time I update the BIOS, but it's all done for now :)

Ah, the trusty old floppy drive still showing it's worth ;)

This is the only reason I have kept one in my system.

Yep, same here. I bought a floppy with my PC and have used it multiple times since :D. They're slow and noisy, but they're brilliant for BIOS updates and bootable disks.
