I have never done a bios update in my life before as my motto has always been if its working when you got everything on then leave it the **** alone lol.

Anyway, I am going to have to do a OS Re-install so thought I would try and do mine.

I am currently using an MSI Z77A-GD65 with Bios version A.00 and it says latest is A.B0 so with the fear that I am probably going to do something wrong would anybody mind giving some advice on the easiest way to do this.

Also if something does go wrong will it do anything to corrupt anything other than the Motherboard bios such as the Hard Drives and if something does go wrong is there any way to sort it ?

When I've done it is is basically format the USB stick as FAT32, extract the bios file if it is zipped up, put it on USB stick.

With USB stick plugged in to PC start it up and go in to BIOS. In there you should find something to flash the bios with. (On Gigabyte mobo its called Q-Flash)

Edit

A.B0

According to this page the latest bios for that mobo is 10.11
