Updating Catalyst?

I need to update my catalyst driver to 10.2 but do i need to remove my current version before I do and if so how?

Yeah remove old ones first, let's not be lazy now.

Programs and features/ATI catalyst install manger/Express uninstall all ATI software.

Reboot/install fresh drivers/reboot.

download and install and reboot . No need to remove driver these days unless you going from Nvidia to ati or the other way around . Ive always just installed over the top never had any probs .

I have tried both ways and it doesnt seem to make a difference, i still have issues either way

Has never, ever made a single iota of difference for me . Never had a driver failure or lack of performance by firing them over the top.

If you have Windows 7 just install the new ones over the old ones. If you have anything below, uninstall the previous ones first then reboot.

The drivers are apparently designed to be installed over the top but I always remove the existing ones prior.

I've had a few problems dropping them over the top in the past so I always just save myself any hassle and remove the old ones first.
