Updating drivers?

HI all, i have been a bit out of the loop for a while and i wanr to bet this right first time.

I have quite old drivers running with my 7900gt. I have downloaded the new ones off the nvidia website.

How do i got about installing it. Just over the top of the old ones?

Isnt the overclocking unlocked anyway? It is in the drivers i am using at the moment.

WHy update though? Is there a need to?

It also allows you to change the "render x frames ahead" setting, which, which adjusted, may improve Oblivion performance.
