updating graphics drivers on Acer revo rl

does anyon know how to update the graphics driver for the ION in an Acer revo RL machine?
nvidia system check that the computer has the latest driver but this is obviously not true as the driver number is 260.81. I have heard that acer has done something to lock out udating the graphics drivers. When i try to install the latest ion drivers from nvidia i get an error message stating hardware not compatible.

any help would be great

yes it is the RL100 with the ION graphics

ive tried to use nividia drivers but they say its and uncompatible hardware. Also the auto detect on the nividia website also says that i have the latest driver being 280.61 which is over a year old....
