Hi Guys, I've had my PC for 4 years now, crazy to think is spent near on £1300 on something that's now worth diddly squit, anyhow, I haven't really been keeping upto date with technology as much as I use too.
My current setup is at the bottom of this post, I play Arma3 Mods, Eve Online, Dota, Atilla, Sins, COH, and BF4. My pc never seems to struggle to run any of these as Arma is played on low settings anyway, I just seem to get low FPS in towns and whatnot, now I know Arma uses the CPU for graphics rather then the GPU.
If i remember correctly the Sandybridge was the first gen of i7's? I don't know how these compare to the current CPUs, but from my understanding PC's haven't nearly moved on as much in the past 4 years as the 4 previous to my machine.
the question I'm really asking is, I'm looking to get a larger SSD and maybe add to the memory, now i know speeds are negligable, but would i really see much benefit from adding another 8GB of ram? I could be tempted by a newer GPU, but would i see any real benefit from the latter or should i just wait and buy a new machine once i have the funds.
sorry if the post is a bit vague, just an old veteran gamer that's out of the loop with modern technology!
