Afternoon everyone!

Sorry if this type of thread already exists, but I can't really find the problem I have.

Whem i boot my system and i press f12 or whatever for the boot menu, the screen always just goes to a blank one. Same with f2.
I think the it's doing what i want, but its just not appearing on my tv.
If i reboot and leave it, windows boots up fine.

Should I download a bios update for my mobo (flashing i think its called) and try updating that?

Also, ive downloaded drivers for my Graphics card, and a Lan thing for the Mobo.
Is there loads more I should be downloading?
Thanks

I've been trying to set up an old PC monitor, and i can't seem to get it to work.
Tried using a VGA, the only VGA socket is from the mobo, so i guess i need drivers maybe? Tries installing the VGA drivers from the Gigabyte site, and they both wont work.

Really can't seem to find a solution.

Does the system disable any of the mobo's graphics if the graphics card is in use??
Am I even talking any sense? :P

Im guessing the DVI is the one that looks like the VGA, but has an extra 4 pin bit?

Thanks for the replies. I have a bit of work to do i guess

Hello again.

So just now, I had my VGA cable plugged into an old monitor still, and I tried unplugging the graphics card power; and the monitor switched on and was at the bios screen!

Just needed to let it enable itself without a gpu.

Thank you to all your replies in this and the other threads i've recently created!
Very new to PC's and the comments really got me out of a mess.

Thanks again.
