Hi all, me again.. and as usual i want your advice...

Current system spec is as follows

Intel Core i5 750 2.66Ghz (Lynnfield) (overclocked to 3.6 ghz atm)
ASUS P7P55-M Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Micro-ATX Motherboard
Intel X25-V Value 40GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive
G.Skill RipJaw 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
ATI 4890 Graphics Card

i have been really happy with this build, i game at 1080p resolution on all my favorite games and all is good.

Battlefield bad company 2 is coming and for im nervous lol thinking its time for more upgrading! hehe

New case and cooler on the way, then i can get the CPU to 4 ghz hopefully...

What i want to ask is i have a little over £100 left, is it worth moving from the 4890 up to a 5770 gpu or should i stick and stick another 4gb ram in?

or do nothing???

as always, really appreciate your advice. i dont buy anything without asking here lol :)

4890 is faster in benchmarks than a 5770, it just lacks directX11.

a upgrade for that card would be a 5850.

To be honest I would be surprised if 4GB if RAM is your limiting factor. Why not try running the game on your current system and check what is being maxed out. Is your ram / cpu at full capacity?

If neither of them are and the game is not working well then it is most likely going to be the graphics card limiting you (although I am no gaming expert :))

You should hold on to your money and your HD4890 until the HD5850s drop in price, then sell your HD4890 and together with the other hundred quid get a HD5850.Also the HD4890 will be more than capable on handling BBC2 on high settings. There's no way that a HD4890 will limit you in any game.
