Upgrade advice and suggestions please

Hi All,

I'm currently hugely out of the loop, and so rather than obsessively studying up from scratch, like I do every few years when I build a new rig, I think it'll just be easier to get some guidance from here....

My current rig is now three and a half years old and could do with an upgrade.
It actually plays everything I throw at it rather well, and it's hooked up to a 1080 monitor so that's the max resolution I'll need to render.

If I can get it to run the forthcoming Hitman really well, and maybe Fallout or MGSV (if I don't get them for the PS4) then that'll be great.

I'm about to move house, so now's not the time for buying a new system, so any relatively cheap (or at least cost effective) upgrades that'll see me comfortably through another year would be gratefully received.

I'll be changing the ugly and enormous case for something smaller and smarter, and I'll also need a new CPU cooler.

A SSD would be a great upgrade if you havnt already got one. I would get a new gpu like a gtx 970 or you could SLI you 670 but the lack of vram may hinder.

Got a SSD for the OS, but I'll be replacing it, the SATA cable wont clip in (and I've tried different brands of cables), occasionally get crashes and it tells me I have no boot device until I pull the cable off, blow into it like it's a games console in the 90's and plug it back in :mad:

Good spot though, should have listed it :p
