Ok right now my spec is as shown in my sig, but I'll list it here in case people have them disabled:

Q6600 @ 3ghz (can push it further but tend to prefer quieter fans)
Asus Maximus Formula
4 gig DDR2 PC2-6400
GF8800 GTX (768mb)
620W PSU
SB X-Fi
Dell 24" U2412M

I currently only play things like TF2/CSS so haven't thought about upgrading. However, I've been wanting to give skyrim a go and just bought BF3 for £10 as its on sale for the day. Ideally I'd like to play at native res on my monitor (1900x1200).

Soo.. what should I upgrade first? - I'm assuming people are gonna say GPU first.. so what would you go for? and why?

Budget wise, I'll eventually want to be updating everything for a total of ~£600-£800 - so was thinking around 150-200 for a gpu (worth spending more?).

First thought was a 7850 or 7870 - is that the best GPU I can get in this sort of range? Will it handle the sort of resolutions I want at a smooth framerate?

Cheers for any advice

EDIT: Have noticed that the GF 660 (non-Ti)'s are around the same price as a 7870.. which is the better card? Is one better at lower res for example?

Seems to be a pretty close call between those two cards.. might have to bust open a spread sheet! :S
