Upgrade advice - CPU, MB, RAM

My rig developed a problem recently that the R4BE board was pointing to a RAM issue with the error code, however upon testing and switching out hte RAM did not resolve. As it's been build since 2014 it seems like a good opportunity to upgrade most components, apart from GPU, my 980Ti Hybrid has served me well and I'm not paying £1k+ for a GPU...

Anyway, I have a Superflower 1000w PSU that I'll continue to use, still have my Corsair 540 case too. I game at 3440x1440, up to 100hz.

Please ignore the various RGB bits and bobs, I can't help with wanting to RGB all the things!

Happy to take advice if I'm much better off going for the newer generation of i9 etc, thanks in advance.

Probably not if I'm honest. I know it's a bit closed minded but I'm happy sticking as I am :)

shows you, you can get 10 cores for cheaper then what you selected or 8 cores but lattest Family series .

and also AC wifi and z490 , specially from aorus have stronger VRMS then 80% oof z390 booards

but you'll need 360 AIO for the CPU!!

or going alphacool 280/360 AIO unit like the Eisbear but with Corsair fans
