I am completely new to upgrading and I don't have great knowledge around the subject matter. Could someone recommend what some upgrades I could do with my current setup and what I should prioritize first? Budget wise I'm open to suggestions as I want to get an idea of the price ranges.

My current setup really struggles to cope with modern games and often I find them unplayable or I have to play on the lowest quality settings. One of my most recent purchases is Escape from Tarkov and I can't even get into a game and my PC slows right down to the point where I would have to restart my PC.

As a starter some friends suggested I install an SSD and upgrade my RAM to 16BG. I wasn't sure whether to double up on my current RAM or swap my current ones with these - https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/Categories/Products/Memory/VENGEANCE-LPX/p/CMK16GX4M2A2666C16

Our only real concern with the recommended specifications is the rather ambitious 8 GB. Escape from Tarkov is notoriously dependent on RAM and has been known to require at least 10 GB of DDR3 to run smoothly. Consequently, we recommend 16 GB as a minimum to avoid any potential issues. Aside from this, the Core i5 and i7 at least 3.2 GHz, alongside a 2GB GPU, produces more than decent performance with FPS ranging anywhere from 30 to 80 depending on resolution and settings.

Additionally, Escape from Tarkov involves a lot of asset and terrain loading, so we’d highly push you to use an SSD if at all possible.

I would definatly get a ssd it will make a massive maount of differnce to everything over a standard HD.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £55.69 (includes shipping: £8.70)

Memory, might as well get 3200mhz speed in leu of a further upgrade.

A better graphic card will also make a huge difference to your gaming. The main problem is most gpu's are out of stock. Unfortunatly your may also need a bigger psu to drive the better gpu. A 1660 super (great 1080p gpu for about £230+ when you can find one) should be fine with your cx430.

Your GPU was a good card at the time but some games will not load without more vram. I would recommend your first upgrade to be a GPU, however make sure that you have enough wattage on your psu to power your replacement. A SSD would cutdown on load times and make your system more responsive. Another 8GB of ddr4 ram would also help

Lowering resolution and settings in games will help
