So I am starting to think my hardware is starting to fail as I am getting some massive graphics lag problems in games, and a few other motherboard related problems, and I am looking at possible upgrade routes over the next couple of months, (budget restrictions are very tight).

So I am currently running the following:

AMD FX-4100 3.6Ghz
8Gb Ram
1Gb GTX 550Ti
OCZ ZS series 650W PSU

This was purchased from OCuk themselves about 4-5years ago so it is probably overdue an upgrade or two :)

I have previously always run AMD based systems but I realy want to try an Intel based system so I was looking at the following:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-005-OG

Looking at the Ram upgrade and possibly upgrade the cooler to the H80i

I also have a brand new 2Gb GTX 750Ti, the version that does have a power connection on it, sat here waiting to go into whatever I buy so would also like advice on if I need to change my PSU as well.

Will be adding a SSD at a later date as well.

And would like to possibly end up with this as a SLi/Crossfire system although I realize that I would need different graphic cards for this but that a long way down the line.

Is this a worthwhile plan or are there some better options that I have missed or not considered?

Any advice gratefully recieved.

Edit:
Forgot to mention that the system is used for gaming only.

Anything else I need to do is done on my iMac :)
