Upgrade advice/help

Hi all

was hoping to get some advice, I am currently thinking about upgrading my CPU, currently on a 9900k, msi suprim x 3080 10gb and 32GB DDR4 RAM (4x8GB corsair vengeance)
I think I got v.unlucky with the cpu unable to get stable OC so iv just left it stock, I use the PC primarily for gaming and now and again streaming, Im planning on getting the new samsung oled g8 (3440x1440) and was wondering if upgrading CPU would give me a decent boost in fps?

You can currently sell your 9900K for almost the price of a 13600K, so from that perspective it might not be the worst idea. But, generally speaking, moving to that kind of resolution will push the bottleneck to the graphics card. What speed is your RAM?

That's good in both ways:
1. If you upgrade: suitable for re-use on a 12th/13th gen DDR4 motherboard.
2. If you don't: will help your 9900K keep up the pace.
