Upgrade Advice needed pls

Hi all,

Ive decided that my C2DE6600 @3GHz and 4gig of cheapo Crucial XMS mem isnt up to the job anymore and i want to upgrade.

Im sticking with my 19" Monitor at the momment so probs wont need a gpu upgrade but advice on which processor and ram would be really helpful.

Im looking to spend about £250-£300 in total
