im looking to buy a 2nd hand pc for not much money, as my laptop has had its day, i mainly play online racing sims, like rfactor, iracing, but would like to try crysis, was told pc can handle already) dirt 2, F1 2010. want this pc to do me for about 8 to 12 months. but would like a bit of a boost for now, ie graphics card upgrade. and would like to increase cpu to 3ghz. but not got a clue about that.
could i put a gtx460 in or a ati 5850. would they make a big differents? or would that be overkill for the cpu.
pc specs are
intel Q6600 core2 Quad 2.4ghz processor with xigmatek cooler.
DFI P45 lanparty t2rs plus motherboard
corsair 4gb ddr2 800mhz/pc2-6400 xms memory
ati radeon 4870 1gb gddr5
corsair 620w hx psu
windows vista (will upgrade to 7)
